Published Research

The Saltmarchi Research Library will contain final published project reports from Saltmarch Summits, Congresses, Panels, and custom research projects, providing our subscribers immediate access to insightful, focused research. Currently, subscriptions to Saltmarchi's Research Library is not open.

Custom research that we do for our clients is sometimes owned exclusively by the client and never published. Based on the client engagement, we sometimes make the report exclusively available to a client for a limited time, after which the information becomes available in our library. Clients have the option to subscribe to the library or purchase reports on an ad hoc basis.

Quantitative Surveys

Saltmarchi's quantitative online surveys deliver focused results to our clients in a quick and efficient manner, with very little client involvement following the initial survey discovery meeting. This is easily one of our most popular research methods and is ideal for corporate clients who want to understand the adoption rate of a new product or service, the impact of a policy change, or behavioral patterns that emerge following a messaging or marketing campaign. Our team will gain all the insights needed to effectively tailor the research to help our clients achieve their goals and objectives.

Research Methodology

The first step is the discovery meeting, where our research staff engages with the client through a 1-1 or telephonic discussion to establish objectives and appropriate screening criteria. Following this, our research staff will meticulously work towards programming a unique questionnaire with the goal of achieving and transgressing the end client objective. Because we create our surveys in-house, we are able to offer many unique features including: customizable design with client logo and colors, pop-up graphics or video, and choice of response types (multiple choice, text box, drop down, skip patterns and a combination).

Custom Research

Custom research is qualitative and quantitative information collected directly from your target group. It is proprietary, conducted for your company alone, and is specific to your product line or service. Saltmarchi will conduct the preliminary research and compile all relevant information on the topics to be covered in the report. Saltmarchi will also conduct a few interviews with relevant industry contacts (contact details provided by the client) to obtain views on topics related to the report.

Deliverables
  • The findings of the survey will be made available to the client as a designed document in PDF format.

In Phone Consultations

Phone consultations are a fundamental part of Qualitative Analysis. Depending upon the client's research objectives, we arrange a personal, one-on-one phone consultation with one of our network experts or recruit a specialist from outside our database. Clients can also choose to outsource the consultation to Saltmarchi. In this case, we will conduct the interview and send you a recorded transcript of the conversation. Generally speaking, one-on-one consultations can be turned around in under 48 hours.

Online Panel Discussions

Here's how our panel discussions work: after an initial kickoff meeting with our client to establish research objectives, our staff will recruit the appropriate experts to participate in a moderated online discussion. These experts will answer questions and respond to statements contributed by fellow participants. The discussions are not "live" or "real time", but occur over a pre-determined period of days. This approach enables both participants and clients to log on to the discussion multiple times—at their convenience—affording all parties, regardless of location, the opportunity for more thoughtful consideration and exploration of pertinent issues.

Throughout these online discussions, panelists contribute often and at their convenience, a dynamic that typically results in deeper, more detailed commentary than is possible from live meetings, one-on-one phone interviews, or "Webcasts." Panelist and client identities are concealed from each other to foster candid responses and a high level of interaction among participants. Clients are also able to view discussions as they unfold and suggest follow-up questions or identify areas for further exploration. Trained Saltmarchi moderators—typically specialists in the topic under examination—oversee the discussions, introduce follow-up questions, and help maintain focus.
